Book Description:
Though Grace McGovern just graduated college, she’s restless, and to top it off, she finds herself single and unsatisfied with relationships in general.

Roman intends to claim Grace and make her his mate and part of his pack. He’s searched for her for five years and now she’s within his longing grasp, apart from one minor problem. She has no idea she’s a wolf.

As Grace tries to identify and cope with her inner wolf, she also needs to figure out the unprecedented and undeniable pull Roman has on her. Could he finally offer her the fulfilling relationship for which she’s been yearning?

Roman scooped her up in his arms and ran toward the main house. “Keep your eyes closed

and your face behind your hands. You’re going to be fine. Okay?”

“What is going on? I feel weird.” She buried her face in his chest, despite the fact she slammed her cheek into his sternum with every stride he took. Her body hummed and tingled. Her vision blurred. Fear, once again, overpowered her.

“I think the doctor underestimated your wolf, the medicine or both. Hang on, we’re almost there.” He sprang up the back steps and burst through the door.

“What did you do to her?” Tiffany yelled.

 “Shut up!” he growled.

She prodded her face with her fingers trying to feel her lips, which felt numb. An odd sensation like ants walking on her tongue made her heart pound.

He took the entire flight of stairs in four steps and had her behind the closed door of her bedroom in no time. He placed her on the floor at the foot of her bed. “Grace, your wolf wants out, but it’s feeble. You’re sort of stuck in the middle right now.”

“Is that why everything looks like it’s under water?” Her face felt numb and tingly, her hands too. She didn’t feel as if she could stand if she had to, her knees shaking as they were.

“Yes. Now, I’m going to suggest you don’t look in the mirror at the moment, but I know how women…”

He didn’t have time to finish. She turned to look at the floor-length mirror on the wall. A mixture of a scream and a howl blasted of her throat, frightening her further. Her canine teeth protruded and a muzzle had started to form. Her hands were stuck between paw and hand in a weird disfigured mess.

“It will go away. But you have to try to relax.” He put his hands on her shoulders. “I won’t leave, I promise.”

Everything beyond her looked blurry as if she was opening her eyes under water. “You keep thaying that.” Her abnormally long tongue was hanging out of her mouth. She clamped her hands over her muzzle. “This thukth.”

He tried not to laugh. She didn’t try. She allowed the laugh to escape. This is what she gets for sulking about a boring life. How many times had she whined to her best friend, Barb about her dull life? This…was karma.

“Aren’t I thexthy?” She laughed again and flopped on her back.

Tiffany pounded on the door, startling the giggles to a silence. “What’s going on in there? Is she okay?”

“Go get the doc, but don’t let anyone else in. Got it?” He yelled at the closed door and then turned to face her once more.

Grace heard the scrape of nails on the floor. Apparently, Tiffany preferred to run as wolf.

“I feel thumthing buthing,” she tried to say.

“Buzzing?” he asked. She bobbed her head, since speaking was now a challenge.

“We’ll ask the doctor. For now, take deep breaths and close your eyes. See if you can talk to your wolf. I’m right here, holding onto your arm. I won’t let go.”
